Carl Pritchard is an experienced engineering and business manager with extensive experience in mine operations and mine planning. His background encompasses global mining engineering, business analysis and managerial experience in open-cut and underground environments. Carl has managed the technical services department of a large dragline and truck / shovel strip mine. In this role he provided day to day operational support as well as developing budgets and preparing cost evaluation exercises for the head office of the group. Carl has positive leadership and problem solving skills.
Since joining Runge Limited, Carl has demonstrated his experience as a mining consultant, business analyst, project manager and regional manager of Runge's North American operations. He has been involved in all aspects of Runge consulting, including due diligence and valuation, feasibility, mine planning and optimization, business systems and software implementation. Carl can implement all Runge packages for mine scheduling, margin ranking, and equipment productivity assessments.
David Krinke has over 10 years experience in technical mining engineering and mine management. With skills developed from early involvement in underground mining to recent senior roles in open-cut coal and iron ore operations, David is recognised as an expert consultant in mine planning, scheduling, feasibility, and mine optimisation.
David recently joined Runge Limited as a Senior Mining Consultant from a long association with Anglo Coal's Dawson Operation.
Fraser has gained significant experience at BHPBilliton's Mt Arthur Coal Mine located in NSW Australia. His role at Mt Arthur focused on the coordination, management and motivation of a team of mining professionals responsible for the planning and operation of the mine.
Fraser brings to Runge a strong technical background in the systematic planning and operation of open-cut mines. His background is supported by significant practical mine site and previous consulting experience gained within Australian and South East Asia. Fraser has experience with Runge's XPAC, TALPAC and XERAS software packages in a variety of applications. Fraser is currently based in Calgary and was appointed the North American Operations Manager in March 2005.
Fred Parker has had a wide involvement in the mining industries of Australia and Asia. Through operational and planning roles in underground and open-cut environments, he gained the experience and knowledge to be an effective manager of technical mining personnel. Fred's strength is his ability to motivate and coordinate teams of technical personnel in the execution of projects of any complexity. He is able to manage lateral thinking involved in the conceptual stages through to the disciplined approach in the detailed planning stages of projects.
As a principal mining consultant for Runge Limited, Fred has managed many feasibility, due diligence, and haulage optimization projects for contract and owner operated mines. He is also the product champion for the strategic direction of Runge's TALPAC haulage simulation software. Fred is a presenter of Runge's training courses in planning and operation of truck and loader mining systems.
Greg Maiden is a professional mining engineer with 34 years' experience in the Australian mining industry. He has a strong technical background in mine planning and operations including coal, base metals and gold in both open-cut and underground operations.
Greg has worked at senior management level in open-cut coal operations in Queensland and holds both coal and metalliferous mine managers' tickets. He has developed his career in mine planning and feasibility work and has also gained significant experience in tenure management, minesite property development, and minesite environmental management. His background includes feasibility and technical and due diligence studies for coal, base metals and gold operations both nationally and internationally, operational mine design and planning, technical mine training, and tenure negotiation with government and land-holders in Queensland.
Hugh has gained a wide variety of experience in the mining industry through operational, managerial, and technical roles in underground and open-cut mines. He has worked in New South Wales, Western Australia, and Papua New Guinea.
In 1996 he joined Runge as a mining consultant based in Brisbane and was promoted to manage the South American operations in 2000. Hugh is highly competent with the application of XPAC mine database and scheduler, XERAS financial modeller, TALPAC truck and loader optimisation. He is fluent in both English and Spanish and has highly developed analysis and communication skills.
Jessica has a strong technical background in the systematic planning and operation of open-cut mines. Her operating and planning experience was gained in a Northern Canadian open-cut truck / shovel iron ore mine, where she held the positions of mine dispatcher, drill and blast engineer, and short range planning engineer.
Jessica has operated as the drill and blast planning engineer while managing the blasting crew of a large open-cut mine. She has worked with the technical services department of a large truck / shovel operation, and undertaken short range planning, reserving, budgeting and cost evaluation exercises for the mine planning group. Jessica is proficient in the use of Runge's XPAC and TALPAC software and is familiar with Runge's XACT software as well as a wide variety of software packages and optimisation tools. She uses these packages for mine scheduling and equipment productivity assessments.
Merryl Peterson is a qualified geologist, with experience in mining operations, exploration and regional geological mapping. She has worked on numerous consulting projects for coal operations, both in Australia and internationally. Merryl is competent in the use of several major geological modelling systems, including Minescape, Vulcan and Minex. She is also JORC competent for reporting of coal resources.
Merryl is the geological project manager for Runge Limited and a senior mining consultant. She joined Runge in 1999 and established a team to perform geological modelling for both coal and metalliferous deposits. Her role within Runge provides reliable and robust geological models that feed seamlessly into the business planning projects. Merryl consults primarily in the areas of due diligence, valuation, feasibility and mine planning.
Scott has developed a strong technical and hands-on approach in the systematic planning and operation of open-cut mines. His background is supported by practical mine site experience gained within Canada and the United States.
Scott's operating and planning experience was gained primarily in a Northern Canadian open-cut truck / shovel iron ore mine, where he held the positions of short range planning engineer, operations team leader and mine technical support engineer.
Scott is proficient in the use of Runge's XPAC, DragSim, and TALPAC software and is familiar with a wide variety of software packages and optimisation tools. He uses these packages for mine scheduling and equipment productivity assessments.
Since being with Runge Mining in Canada, Scott has worked primarily with XPAC - implementing and upgrading mine planning models in both coal and oil sand operations in Alberta and British Columbia. These models range from Standard XPAC to Advanced Destination XPAC models.
Tony is a qualified and experienced mineral economist and financial manager. His broad ‘hands on' managerial experience was obtained in the mining and raw material industry. Tony also worked in the financial management field for several years before combining the two capabilities as a principal consultant in business analysis for Runge Limited.
He has strong management and financial experience with both coal and metalliferous operations within Australia, South Africa and North and South America.
Tony's attitudes and attributes include a dynamic personality and he is enthusiastic with a commercially-aware business outlook. Tony is currently researching and developing applications of economics and applied finance theory to the mining industry.
